I'm an award-nominated London-based author, critic, film programmer, podcaster and creative producer.

I am the co-founder of the horror film collective The Final Girls, a screening series turned popular podcast.

Previously, I was the Film and Events Programmer at the British Film Institute, where I curated many seasons and created the Woman With A Movie Camera Summit. In the past, I also worked on international projects for Pedro Almodóvar’s El Deseo, was the Head of Arts and Culture at DICE and the Film Programme Manager at h Club. I have programmed for Edinburgh International Film Festival and Fantastic Fest. Recently, I curated the Cruel Flesh: Films of the New French Extremity season and co-curated the major project In Dreams Are Monsters for the BFI.

As a writer, I’ve been published in BBC Culture, Little White Lies, The Guardian, Tortoise, The Face, LA Review of Books, TimeOut, Sight & Sound and more. I sporadically write about pop culture on my newsletter Admit One. In 2024 I was shortlisted for the Anthony Burguess/Observer Arts Criticism Prize.

I’ve written two books on film: Unlikeable Female Characters (Sourcebooks, 2023) and Feeding the Monster (Faber, 2024).

I'm fluent in English, Spanish, Russian and French.

In 2019, I was selected as one of Screen International’s Future Leaders in Curation and Programming and was invited to become a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. I am a BIFA and BAFTA voting member.
