Isabel Stevens and I co-curated Girlfriends, a two-month season exploring the joys and complexities of female friendships on screen. 

Films included 9 to 5, The Girls, Now and Then, Poison Ivy, Beaches, Martha and Nikki, Me Without You and more. Each film was accompanied by a short film, linking together established films with up-and-coming filmmakers.

As part of the season, I programmed events like the Galentine's Special screening of Romy and Michele's High School Reunion, which was followed by a Skype Q&A with screenwriter Robin Schiff; a special edition of popular podcast The Guilty Feminist; and a full-day symposium (co-programmed with David Edgar) Squad Goals: An Exploration of TV Girlfriends. 

The season ran February-March 2018 in BFI Southbank.
